One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to save money on their weekly shop is getting too much of a good thing.

Supermarkets are always full of special offers and savings but do you really need them? If you are trying to save money then yes you need them but only if they are used to replace something you would normally buy.

Always stick to a strict shopping list and only stray from this when replacing an item on there for a cheaper or more cost effective item.

You need to remember that these supermarkets don't put offers on in the effort to reduce your shopping bill, they put these offers on so you buy excess or extras. Its up to you to buy what you need at the price you want to pay, don't let the supermarket entice you into buying what they want you to buy!
